I'm up to book four in The Chronicles of Narnia again. They're a sad read from the point of view of an adult.
I just watched one of the major apartment buildings in my complex burn to the ground in a massive conflaguration.
Doors being kicked in to save the oblivious, wailing and gnashing of teeth, we had it all.
At this point, I am unsure as to whether there were injuries or deaths. Both are a high possibility.
It appears that the money has been moved in the
president's budget to handle homeland security and the war in Iraq, and
I suppose that's the price we pay. Nobody locally is happy that the
levees can't be finished, and we are doing everything we can to make
the case that this is a security issue for us.
